Evialis pursues its international coverage by reinforcing its position in Brazil
ZOOFORT, €10 M TURNOVER IN COMPOUND FEDD
EVIALIS Group, through its subsidiary SOCIL, has taken over the company ZOOFORT following the purchase of 80% of the shares of the founding partners. ZOOFORT is the regional leader in the production of compound feed in the cattle for meat segment in the Central West part of Brazil, and particularly in the state of Mato Grosso. It is expected to achieve turnover of €10 M annually, with good development perspectives, leading to a positive contribution to Group results.
POTENTIAL SYNERGIES WITH SOCIL AND THE GROUP
This Central West region presents two main advantages : it accounts for the largest bovine production in Brazil, and is growing and has major raw material sources (leader in soy production), thus providing supply opportunities at competitive rates to our Brazilian entities, or even other international subsidiaries.
OPENING OF PERSPECTIVES
This aquisition reinforces EVIALIS Group’s position on the Brazilian market, which is the third largest market in the world (50 Mt in 2007) with expected growth of over 7% over 2007.
