Pierre Lefebvre, new CEO for the Evialis Group
53 years old and a graduate from ESSEC business school, Pierre Lefebvre’s career was to now with the Limagrain Group where he occupied several senior management positions.
Appointed in 1980 as Finance Director for Tézier, a French subsidiary specialised in flower and vegetable seeds, in 1984 he became CEO of Ferry Morse, an American subsidiary and seed specialist, which he reorganised and developed.
In 1990 he moved to Vilmorin as CEO and successfully introduced the company to the public sector in 1993.
He piloted their international development and in 1996 Vilmorin Clause & Cie moved up from 4th to 1st place in that sector thanks to numerous acquisitions worldwide: Holland, Poland, Great Britain, the USA, Chile, China, Japan, Israel…
During this period, turnover tripled and reached 500M€, international sales progressing from 30% to 65% of the activity and net profits quintupling to 32M€.
