Turnover for 1st quarter 2005 : 159.2 M€
The Evialis group made a turnover of 159.2 M€ in the first quarter of 2005.
This figure essentially reflects two factors that affected the group's "complete feeds" activities in France: firstly the return of raw material prices to normal after reaching a historic high in the 1st quarter of 2004, and secondly a drop in sales volumes - particularly of dairy cow feed - compared with 2004 when demand for bovine feed was boosted as a result of the 2003 drought that resulted in a shortage of forage crops.
Besides this, the recovery of the group's international activities is continuing.
In spite of the reduction in turnover, the Group's performance is continuing to improve and the results for the first half of 2005 should be up on those for the first half of 2004.
